About “In Reverse.” (from Man_boo’s Tumblr)
I’ve received so much attention since posting the song. I’m truly thankful to you all. It was a collaboration built by the cooperation of many, so these past few days, I’ve been thinking more than usual about how thankful I am.
Now, in this blog post, I’d like to talk a bit about “In Reverse.”
I talked a bit about this elsewhere, but there’s an origin behind the song.Around middle or high school, I went over to a friend’s house.
My friend showed me a column he thought curious to find in a newspaper: it discussed a novel about an old man who goes through life backwards, becoming a baby at the end, titled “In Reverse.”
I only briefly heard about it then, so I completely forgot the author and so on. Of course, I never actually read the book either. But the title and summary stuck in my head, suddenly popping up again now and then.Later, I was to write a song for the compilation The Art Of Real Sounds vol. 1, and as lines that seemed cursed to never leave my mind came out one by one, the song was developed. I borrowed the title from that story sitting in the edge of my memory.
Incidentally, I had a chance to go drink with my friend a few days ago, and told him this. And he told me more about the story mentioned in that column. It was indeed “In Reverse,” a story by Jirou Osaragi. The moment he told me that, I felt like I was meeting my childhood friend for the first time in 10 years.
But looking at the summary, it seems like a totally different story from what was in my memory. Ah, memories are irrational things. But still, I suppose I’d like to read it someday. I feel a bit more obligated to now.
This is what I entered into the Miku Cover Art contest on Facebook! I know I don’t get any prizes, but I really just wanted to do this… ( ・ω ・)

This Vocaloid Afterpary will be not on tumblr, but on Turntable in “The Vocaspot” room!
If you don’t know Turntable yet, it’s essentially a music-sharing website. You hop into a room with your friends and share music, using either your own MP3 files or through their search feature. You can also rate the music (giving the DJ points or, if enough people vote down, causing the song to skip), and you can chat with your friends, too!
This has already been a hit with a lot of Vocaloid fans on tumblr, and hopefully we can have a pretty big party tonight to celebrate our fandom and have fun~
(Also, a few of us are already hanging out there for the night - the time is just a guideline for when when we expect things to be wrapping up for a lot of Promstuck goers! Drop by anytime!)
