to answer that anon asking “why hold whites solely responsible for slavery”, it’s a little more complicated than just that. yes african and muslim societies engaged in slavery, and as a matter of fact the Arab books on the subject were used as “best practices guides up until the 1700s.

however the model of slavery practiced through the triangle trade in the americas and europe became a societal phenomenon significantly different from slavery as practiced pretty much any where else. the american south became so economically dependent on slavery and the associated structures of racial oppression, they kinda fought a war over it. the last society to be so incredibly reliant on slavery to function was ancient rome, but there was no racial aspect to their slavery - they just enslaved everybody.

even after slavery was abolished, things like one-drop laws and jim crow remained behind as a constant effort to degrade former slaves & their descendants in america. essentially, no, modern americans should not feel particularly “guilty” about slavery. because that’s unproductive and serves no purpose. but we should be cognizant that our country was built on a particularly pernicious and vile form of slavery, and we’re still feeling the fallout from the practice even today.

  • Character: Piko Utatane
  • Fandom: Vocaloid 2
  • Reason for Being Hated: Muffled voice, extremely hard to tune, seen by some fans as “too shota” in most songs due to improper range usage, has a feminine range plus a masculine range, same ahoge as SF-A2 Miki, sounds flat, doesn’t properly represent his vocal provider (Piko), masculine range is “too manly.”

IF SOMEBODY ATTEMPTS TO COME UP WITH A DEFENSE FOR THIS I SWEAR TO FUCKIN GUMI……..

Would you be able to deduct anything from my desk?

Greetings.
Good lord, another multiple fandom individual.
Harry Potter, Avengers, Doctor Who, Regular Show (by extension, likely Adventure Time), the Lorax: how do make time for reality?
Perhaps you do not.
An artist, quite obviously. The art pencils, notebook and sketches have placed for me to take this as priority.
It seems unlikely one with so many interests would limit to only art: you may write or make videos in addition.
That is all I have time for.
Add where I have lapsed.
SH

I would ALMOST say “boy.” but probably a girl.
Definitely left-handed.
You probably live in Britain; the Doctor Who item is sketchy, but the Harry Potter book is a complete giveaway.
Your art is a huge hobby that you’re starting to pursue, more than anything. You use it largely as a to sympathize with your fellow fans. I would assume that your style is still largely underdeveloped - the Regular Show picture almost looks like a trace, and you probably you want to develop yourself.
In terms of personality, you’re actually much less organized than this most of the time. There are probably stacks of unsorted papers elsewhere, in addition to this one here. You should consider keeping a sketchbook instead of just using stray papers.

Might as well join the party. What can you deduce from my “book shelf”?

Greetings.
I shall start with the obvious: Canadian. (Who outside Canada would display a signed “Team Canada” hockey stick with such pride?)
It is likely you also play hockey if it holds enough value for a prominent place on your shelf.
A nerdfighter, if vlogbrother John Green’s “The Fault in Our Stars” in anything to go by.
The variety of books, with no particular collections, suggests you have a large interest in the analysis of literature, collecting books for their specific quality rather than their collective value.

Things that would seem like otherwise-useless clutter seem to signify that this person values sentience. At the same time, the placement of many of these items signifies that he rarely touches this desk at all, leaving the books and discs to collect a little bit of dust — and remain perfectly neat, in a nice, organized, visually-appealing manner, unless there’s some sort of necessity for near-perfect organization involved with the person’s traits. As SH already stated, you value the quality, not quantity, of books, and hope that others notice your taste for literature.
If I were to guess, this is a clothes cabinet, and therefore the cabinets below get much more usage than the items up top. There’s also a window up above, and quite often in households, items that are simply for display are left near windows or other high areas.
Just my two cents.

She’s not that great of a writer, though…? I mean, she’s not bad at all, but her style isn’t really captivating at all.
However, she is an amazing storyteller with a brilliant imagination, and that’s why I love her and the series.
