Republicans have blocked so many potential job-creating bills in Congress, it almost makes you think they’re doing it on purpose.

Republican presidential candidate RICK SANTORUM, on Sunday’s Meet The Press. No seriously. This guy is a fucking dick. The thing is, Santorum actually believes this. But in his defense, I can understand his self interest in ensuring fewer people go to college and become educated; he does have a voter base he needs to cultivate, after all. (via wilwheaton) |
“Ridiculous as sodomy laws may be, there clearly is no right to privacy nor sodomy found anywhere in the Constitution.” -A discussion of why Lawrence v. Texas (the Supreme Court case about whether it was constitutional for police in Texas to enter a gay man’s apartment and arrest him for having anal sex) was wrongly decided. From Ron Paul’s “Federal Courts and the Imaginary Constitution,” August 2003.
“Privacy is one of the most sacred elements of a free society. It is now common to pass laws which routinely violate the Constitutional guarantee that our homes and persons are not to be invaded by government agents.” -From Ron Paul’s book, Freedom Under Siege, published 1987.
Makes perfect sense. My shit is stuff, your stuff is shit (thanks George Carlin).
On the one hand, Texas congressman Ron Paul, Republican candidate for the presidency, is a zealous champion of limited government, free markets and low taxes. On the other hand, he reportedly thinks the U.S. should not have gone to war against Nazi Germany. What to make of this heresy? In a word, a great deal – for it may define Mr. Paul’s isolationism.

Disgust with the police state and anger against the “rich” for controlling the government that should be supposedly “helping” the 99% “common” folk.
I have a simple solution. Less government, less spending, less taxes, less influence, and less corruption.
We can take away the strongest weapon…
less regulation, less protection
more corporations drinking champagne while we lose jobs
libertarianism is counter-productive
just saying
So, I have a teacher who’s very informative and is big on social rights and protests and all that and he’s definitely got me more into politics and protests. He was at the “Occupy Wall Street” protests the first weekend and got arrested but he was actually detained for no reason. I’ve been keeping…
May whatever god you believe in bless you.
- Ronald Reagan: He “was a Hollywood Commie who raised taxes, grew government, and gave amnesty to illegal immigrants. That poor son of a bitch would get eaten alive by this crowd.”
- Thomas Jefferson: “The man cut up his Bible, loved the French, and had a well-documented case of jungle fever… Try again.”
- Superman: “Illegal immigrant.”
- Optimus Prime: “He accepted the auto industry bailout.”
— Republican presidential candidate RON PAUL, answering a hypothetical question: how would a person who requires medical care and cannot afford health insurance receive the care he needs?
And he’s a physician. Do no harm, doctor? You asshole.
I’m glad he said it out loud at least. If we can’t take care of everybody then some people are just going to die for lack of money and Ron Paul says “Oh well!”

With that quadruple negative, he basically said we should forget. Way to go, dude.
Heh! Yeah I guess so, I think the word he was looking for (or I suppose will look for, since this happened tomorrow) was “Never, ever, ever, ever forget.” Even with that it’s still kinda childish.

STEPHEN COLBERT, reacting to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R - KY) saying, of Obama’s jobs speech, that Republicans would “listen politely to what he has to say… but our view is that we have to go in an entirely different direction,” on The Colbert Report. Let’s see how long they can keep the dickishness up. (via inothernews) |
Well, not part of the debate — just close enough to the debate so that her presence drowns it out.
I swear to God, she’s not running for President — she’s running to be mayor of Cockblockington.
