Well, nobody’s expecting everyone to know the entire History of Vocaloid forwards and backwards. But it bugs a lot of fans who are there for the music when people are like “OMG VOCALOID IS GREAT MIKU IS SO CUTE WHEEE POP STARS wait who is Iroha.” And then you get some pretty stupid comments when new Vocaloids are released, like, “Eww, they’re not Japanese,” or “They’re never as cute as Miku-chan~” and it’s kind of annoying.
A lot of it is following Vocaloid fans around the fanbase, like on tumblr and on VocaloidOtaku, and pretty much poking through the songs that people dig up. I know VocaloidOtaku has whole sections dedicated to songs from each Vocaloid. It’s as easy as having the right resources.
Trust me, when you find songs by other Vocaloids, you will absolutely fall in love with some of the other voicebanks. There are so many amazing Vocaloids, and amazing producers who choose to shy away from Miku, but you just need to find them.
No likes, just reblogs.
Let’s see how many there are.
no excuses for not reblogging this
Kokoro + Kokoro : Kiseki (“Heart” + “Heart: Miracle”)
Travola-P feat. Kagamine Rin & Len
Considered one of the greatest Vocaloid classics of all time, it currently has several different drawn PVs/MVs, a stage play in Tokyo and many, many covers in many languages.
The story of “Kokoro” is a robot being made by a lonely scientist. The scientists makes a program called “Kokoro” (which means “heart”), and its purpose is not found until long after his passing. “Kokoro” gives the robot emotion, feeling and, most of all, love.
“Kokoro:Kiseki” is from the point of the view of the scientist.
The video posted with this combines the two points of view together.
It’s such a beautiful, tragic story. You really do have to listen to it to get the feel of it.
(And this is honestly one of the many reasons why I still have a spark of hope in music. Honestly, even if you don’t like Vocaloid, you have to listen to this. You will cry.)
