If you want to get in touch with me, once my laptop’s back up, my Steam and Skype are both riningear.
Yeah I’m taking a break from tumblr.
We all go around making self-hate look so cute and then wonder why we’re all so goddamn miserable.
It’s not one person. It’s the users of this site as a collective. I follow 1000+ blogs and it just never stops.
Seriously. Stop it. Everyone here is wonderful in their own way. Things get better, I promise, and if you keep thinking that nobody likes you or that you’re not worth anything, hell, maybe nobody will want to like you, or you’ll stop having worth.
That’s not the point. The point is that people on this site romanticize anti-social attitudes and self-hatred. It’s one thing to have someone feel that way and blog about it, it’s another when 40k people reblog it like “lol this is me I am so lonely” as if this is just a cute thing we should all accept about ourselves. It’s bullshit and I’m done with it for a while.

I’ve learned more than anything that negativity warrants negativity. So this site is like one giant hellhole of negativity. Seriously, people need to stop, because more than anyone, the negativity affects themselves. And it’s visible. It really is.
After I address this issue, I’m off for a while. It’s really not gonna help my therapy, being around people who devalue themselves so much that they actually do lose value.
Yeah I’m taking a break from tumblr.

I think I need a break from this self-deprecating shithole of a site
Stats Pr0n of the Day: U.S. Map of Hate Speech on Twitter
Since June 2012, Dr. Monica Stevens of Humboldt State University in California has been mapping more than 150,000 geotagged tweets that contain homophobic, racist or abliest language. The result is the Geography of Hate, an interactive map of the U.S. which reveals the hotspots of “hate tweets” across the country. A deeper analysis of the project is available at Floating Sheep.

Of course that’s more of the modern “girl gamer” with the controller in her mouth or whatever.
I think I know where the concept of a “fake girl gamer” finally got its roots.
In the early 2000s, a lot of shooter games came out for consoles, and some began to have Internet capability. At this point, since a lot of the materials needed to get online were external and expensive, online gaming appealed in this time to a lot of upper-class guys. Therefore, it was perfectly logical for girls to claim to have an expensive console and software and hardware and to claim that they played this “totally cool game” in order to appeal to guys. It would be the equivalent of a girl faking sports interest in order to get a football player. Kind of stupid but whatever.
Of course that’s irrelevant now since online gaming mostly takes place on PCs now and consoles are cheaper, making it easier for all demographics to play, and the FPS has become so overdone that even mainstream consumers are getting sick of them. That prior stuff I talked about before was a pretty short window of time anyway, maybe 2004-2008. Now it’s near impossible to be a “fake gamer,” since video games of high quality are so easy to acquire.

paranorman……. I can’t………………………
When you hurt yourself and don’t put a band-aid on it because you think you deserve the pain
Your body creates a natural band-aid to keep you protected.
When you want to tear open your skin
Your skin fights back, creates a tough skin of scar tissue to prevent it happening again.
When you take all those pills because you’ve had enough
Your stomach contracts to get rid of them
Because your body
Wants you
To live.
